can koozie

I created a can koozie for a family reunion. I was told that it was going to be taken place outside at their family farm. We were talking about designing for a t-shirt right away but as time went by, a can koozie was decided.

I first designed the farm house, I was given several images as references. I was just designing in grayscale, using tones of grays for values.

As I was working on the house, I took breaks to work on the words that would be presented on the other side. I also kept to black and white font to complement the house illustration. I used fonts Cookie and Avenir. I was constantly trying to balance the words as well as having it readable.
