Shatter the layers of Alexis Glass

Who am I?
He asks me so bold
As if I could answer honestly
For my abstract thoughts haunt me
The glass hides my eyes
And I’m unable to see
The tension I place on myself
For I am one of the same
Rose is in the name
Thorns write scripts of poems
Identify all your mistakes
Don’t emphasize mine
A balance of
Good and bad
A voice unheard
To design the world
A dream of mine
Help save lives
Illustrate the change
Learn to overcome
Time is ticking
No one has forever
I will make it last
A name fade
But movements last
I want more unity
Start the echo
And love everyone
No matter the reason
It was started with many
Simple demands of
Who am I?

talk about yourself
The requirements for this spread was to have a photo and a body of text that we wrote about ourselves. We could be creative on what we wrote, act like it's a graphic designer spotlight article or a short bio.
The idea of using a photo of myself was kind of funny, because I don't view myself as a portrait photographer. The whole time I was thinking it would be silly for me to have a photo when I really wanted to showcase my design style. I am a strong believer that everything I do should be somehow in my own style. So, I created an illustrated portrait of myself, because I view myself as an illustrator.
For the writing piece, I decided to write a poem. I am obsessed with poetry and I love writing my own poems. To me, this was a no brainer to do.
What better way to stand out than to do the unexpected.
