proof group
With one of the biggest group projects that we did in college, we made a magazine called Proof that showcases all the Graphic Design and Communication's graduating students, class of 2018. Our theme was pantones. We were in charge of our individual spreads, but were split into groups for additional pages. I was in charge of our group photo spread.
While brainstorming, I had an image where we are separated but still interacting with each other; The Brady Bunch was an example that I used to explain the idea. With this idea, we thought about those square paint chips and started designing.
First, we needed to plan what they are going to be doing to know where to place everyone. Once we talked with everyone, we started to take pictures; a different member in my group was in charge of photography. After taking their photos, I picked the best one and sent it to them so they can cut themselves out. As an example of what we did, I included my own photos to show. I split my body in half using a ruler. I took them into photoshop and masked out the background.
As I was receiving their photos back, I started lining them up and placing them where they went in InDesign. I placed their chosen pantones behind their pictures, labeling it with their name and pantone number. Another classmate designed the left page and with that we were done with our group spread.
