For a product illustration, I pick the camera I used to have. I am not sure if this is completely done. I have some areas of the camera that I still want to work one. I enjoyed doing this; it really helps that I picked an object that I enjoy doing. At this point, I wouldn't say I was new to Adobe Illustrator, but I learned a lot while doing this project. I got myself out of bad habits with using the pen tool. I used the pattern tool for the first time to create the pattern on the camera grip. The gradient tool was my saving grace, just look at the lens: lots of gradients. Below, I added the one spot color of the camera illustration.
